FAQ title

What is The Enterprise Cloud?

The Enterprise Cloud is a managed computing platform that gives you the power to provision computing resources for mission critical applications in minutes. The Enterprise Cloud lets customers control a resource pool of processing, storage and memory and allows you to deploy server capacity on demand.

What is Infinistructure?

Infinistructure is Terremark's next generation utility computing platform powered by enterprise computing and storage systems, industry leading network technology, and VMware-virtualized resource management.  The combination of the Infinistructure platform, the self-service Web-based interface, Tier 4 datacenters, and high performance carrier-neutral bandwidth services combine to make up the Enterprise Cloud.

What can I run on The Enterprise Cloud?

You can basically run any website, third-party software, server software or custom-developed application—just as you would with a traditional server. Customers are running everything from static websites on The Enterprise Cloud to revenue-producing e-commerce websites to SaaS applications to mission critical IT infrastructure like Microsoft Exchange and Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.

How many servers can I run?

You are only limited by the compute resources you’ve contracted.

What is the maximum server size I can run?

The maximum server size is 4 virtual processors and 16GB of memory.

Can I use my own operating system licenses, or can Terremark provide?

If you use our Blank Server deployment feature and install your own operating systems, you can use your own OS licenses. However, if you choose to use one of The Enterprise Cloud’s prebuilt deployment templates that contain subscription software, you are billed directly for the use of the licenses.

Can I connect my physical servers with my Enterprise Cloud environment?

Yes.  The Enterprise Cloud can be combined with your dedicated servers and managed from the same web-based interface.  Creating this server in The Enterprise Cloud takes only a few minutes and once a LAN-LAN connection is established you have complete control over your dedicated resources.

How do I get support on The Enterprise Cloud?

General usability and “how-to” support for the Enterprise Cloud is available Monday – Friday from 7am to 7pm. Support for errors related to the interface, unavailability of the interface, or unavailability of the Infinistructure platform are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What security infrastructure is in place on The Enterprise Cloud environment?

By default Enterprise Cloud customers receive the following security infrastructure and/or services:

  • Integrated HA Firewalls
  • Private VLANs
  • Client-LAN VPN for secure remote server administration
  • Deployed in top-tier, SAS70 Type II certified datacenters
  • SSL Encrypted management portal

Additional security services can be delivered on The Enterprise Cloud if a customer requires them.
